  • Food -grade plastic bucket with lid 7.8 gallons . . .used for primary fermentation.
  • 6 gallon Glass Carboy . . . .used for secondary fermentation
  • Airlock . . .allows carbon dioxide to escape the carboy during fermentation
  • Bung-Drilled Rubber Stopper . . .provides airtight seal for carboy
  • Vinyl tubing . . .used for racking (transferring) wine from one container to another
  • Curved Cane and racking tip . . .or Auto Siphon . . used to bring the wine up and over the mouth of the Carboy during racking.
  • Hydrometer . . .a device that measures specific gravity, sugar and potential alcohol.
  • Spoon or Paddle . . .long enough to reach the bottom of your fermenting bucket
  • Wine bottles . . . around 30 (750 ml size)
  • Sanitizer . . .a chemical used to clean and sanitize your equipment
  • Bottle Filler . .a glass rod with a valve at the bottom that attaches to your tubing. When the valve touches the bottom of the bottle, the wine is released into the bottle.
